Hola, my name is Kasie Michelle Thomas and I am a 24 yr. old student at Oklahoma State University. My major is Spanish with a minor in Secondary Education. In the summer of 2005 I studied in Costa Rica for one month and attended Universidad de Costa Rica. During my stay I met some wonderful people from Georgia who helped me adapt to my new surroundings. I was so scared because it was the first time I had ever done anything on my own. My second night in San Pedro my friends took me out to some clubs. The first song I heard was Pobre Diabla by Don Omar. I asked who sang it and the next day I bought Don Omar Live at the San Pedro Mall. Live was all I listened to on my way back home. I still listen to Live and it makes me think Costa Rica and the amazing people I met there. I have been a Don Omar fan from the first time I heard Pobre Diabla because I think he is an amazing artist with a unique sound. I feel that I deserve to win this contest because his music has helped me through some of the events in my life and it would be PRICELESS to be able to see him live on my BIRTHDAY. I have only two idols in my life one is my father, may he rest in peace, and the other is Don Omar i've followed his music ever since he came out and I have heard some underground stuff that very few people have heard of. I let my hair grow just so I could get cornrows exactly like his, I've had just about every design that i could get a good picture of. he came to tucson a few years ago and i didn't go because I couldnt' afford tickets. wining this contest would mean everything to me since i can't see my dad anymore meeting Don Omar would be the grestest thing thats happended to me since the last time I got to see him. |
